Empowering a
Greener Future

Since its inception in 2016, Shams Power has been at the forefront of Pakistan’s clean energy revolution. As the country’s first PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) company, we’ve been driven by a mission to provide sustainable energy solutions.

2015

Shams Power is founded as a joint venture between Pitco and Orient Operating Company, two leading energy companies in Pakistan.

2015-
2022

Over more than half a decade, Shams Power successfully operates 25+ MW of distributed solar projects for renowned corporations across Pakistan, optimizing rooftops, carports, and ground areas for solar energy utilization.

2019

Becomes one of the first distributed solar C&I platforms to hold a Distribution License from the National Electric Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).

2022

Secures USD 50M in debt funding commitments from GuarantCo, enabling the development and construction of current and future Solar C&I projects.

2023

Registers Pakistan’s first project with the International REC Standard Foundation (I-REC Standard Foundation).

2024

Crossed asset base to over 35MW+
